“改天吧”不是“Change another day”，不要再说错了哦！

好朋友，男女朋友，亲人等等很多时候都想约你出去high或者回家吃饭，但是由于工作生活真的很辛苦，有的时候真的只想躺着，什么也不想干，这时候我们总会说“改天吧”，今天阡陌姐姐就跟大家一起学习“改天吧”的高级表达。

“改天吧”这个中文里用来婉拒他人的万能句，英文里应该怎么说？"改天吧"英文怎么说？
改天吧，如果光看表面翻译，那就直译成change another day。这样翻译其实有很大问题，change是改变的意思，但是change后面往往跟的是改变的东西，如果改变另一天，那就说不通了，其实英文中是想说，改变"到"另外一天，而不是改变另一天。这个"到"字必须翻译出来，所以要改成change it to another day. 这里的it指约定好的时间或日子。

虽然这样说没问题，但是表达很死板，如果我们能掌握一些俚语，英语口语的高级感立马就出来了，不信你看！Take a rain check

“take a rain check”字面意思是“拿一张雨票”。

短语起源来自美国的棒球文化，如果比赛时因恶劣天气而不得不终止，官方将发给观众交换券(check)，凭借此券可以观看下一次的比赛。

由此衍生出了 take a rain check，使用在将约定改期的情况下。

例句：

Thank you, but I have to take a rain check on your invitation. 

谢谢你，但很抱歉我不能接受你的邀请，改天吧。

Would you like to have dinner with me tonight?

你愿意和我共进晚餐吗？

I'll take a rain check! I've got stuff to do.

改天吧，我有点事。

3、It's a lovely idea, but I won't be able to join you this time.

5、Could I join you later? I just have to finish something.

如何拒绝请求

1、I'd like to help you but I can't take on any new commitments at the moment, I'm afraid.

3、Why not have a go yourself, and give me a shout if you need help?

the other day≠改天
the other day = not long ago，意思是几天前、不久以前。而another day意思是改天、又一天、新的一天。
活到明天就可以说live to see / fight another day。

例句：

The other day, he cut the grass on his samll lawn.

几天前，他才修理完院子里的草坪。

white day≠白天
white day 才不是白天的意思呢？实际上 white day = White Valentine s Day，是白色情人节的缩写。还可以表示良辰吉日，white 是幸福的、吉利的意思。
白天正确的表达方式是 by day，夜里就是 by night。要注意，加了 the 意思就变了！by the day 是按天计算，随着时间的意思

例句：

They chose a white dayto marry their daughter to Tom.

他们挑选了一个吉日把女儿嫁给了汤姆。

今天几号怎么说？
What day is it today？和 What s the date today?这两个问日子的问法，大家要注意区分哦！
What day is it today？是问今天是周几，day 前面是没有the；而 What s the date today? 是问今天几号，date 前面一定要加 the 哦！
如果问今天是什么节日就可以说：What holiday is it today？

例句：

What day is it today? Today is Monday.

今天是星期几？周一。

What is the date today ?lt s 10th June.

今天是几号呀？6月10号。
